Privacy Policy

InfluenceMW helps brands discover Malawian creators, post campaign opportunities, and contact creators directly. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and what choices users have.

1. Information we collect

We collect account details, creator profile details, public social reach entered by creators, portfolio items, brand offer submissions, contact messages, reports, admin actions, device/browser metadata, and payment records needed to verify PayChangu payments.

2. Public profile information

Creator public names, category, location, headline, bio, visible social platforms, follower counts, profile photos, portfolio items, verification status, and selected contact method may appear publicly. Creators can choose whether raw contact details are displayed for copying.

3. How we use information

We use data to create and display profiles, help brands discover creators, publish approved offers, route enquiries, process reports, verify payments, prevent abuse, send account or admin notifications, maintain security logs, improve marketplace quality, and comply with legal obligations.

4. Payments

Creator Premium and Featured Post payments are processed through PayChangu. InfluenceMW stores transaction references, payment type, amount, status, verification responses, webhook payloads, and activation dates. We do not store full card or mobile money credentials.

5. Sharing information

Public profile and approved offer information is visible to site visitors. We may share payment data with PayChangu, email data with email delivery providers, hosting data with infrastructure providers, and report information with administrators or authorities where legally required.

6. Security and retention

We use access controls, server-side payment verification, webhook signature checks, password hashing, and environment variables for secrets. We keep account, payment, and admin records while needed for the platform, legal compliance, dispute handling, fraud prevention, and financial records.

7. User choices and rights

Users may request access, correction, deletion, or restriction of personal data where applicable. Some records may be retained when needed for fraud prevention, payment history, legal compliance, or dispute resolution. Contact us at support@influencemw.com.

8. Children and age-sensitive content

InfluenceMW is intended for users who can legally manage creator or brand relationships. Users must not submit content that exploits minors, violates applicable law, or misrepresents a minor's consent or involvement.

9. Cross-border services

Some service providers, such as hosting, email, analytics, or payment infrastructure, may process data outside Malawi. Where this happens, we aim to use providers with appropriate security and contractual safeguards.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the platform, law, or service providers change. Continued use of InfluenceMW after an update means the updated policy applies.
